Fascias & Soffits

Do you have timber fascias and soffits?  If so these need to be maintained regularly by being painted but over time they will eventually need to be replaced – no matter how much effort has been made as eventually rot will set in and this could cause damage to other parts of your property as well

Having PVC fascias and soffits installed removes the need for this regular (and expensive) maintenance and as long as these are installed correctly to sound roof trusses they will last a lifetime with no rotting,  flaking, cracking or peeling and no colour loss. 

Correctly installed fascias and soffits can make a huge difference not only to the ‘kerbside appeal’ (the appearance of the exterior) but also to the properties ventilation.

The roofline of a property can be made up of several components being:
The Fascia – this is the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof. It is fixed directly to the lower ends of the roof trusses and usually supports the lower edge of the bottom row of tiles. The Guttering is also attached to the Fascia board.

The Soffit – this board is tucked away under the fascia board. It is usually the board you see most of from street and is generally ventilated to allow the flow of air into the roof area as without adequate ventilation  condensation will form in the roof area increasing the risk of timber decay.

Bargeboard – this is the board that is used on the gable end of a house.

Boxend – this can be used to accommodate, where necessary,  the many different angles, planes and heights of the fascia, soffit and bargeboard at each corner of the house where there is a gable end.
